Brooke moved to Los Angeles with a holding deal from Fox. However, the show never went ahead, and she found herself out of work in search of other television news opportunities.
A small-town girl from Muskogee, Oklahoma Brooke grew up living with her grandparents after her mother needed to move out of state for work. Brooke said her mother is a role model who taught her that handwork and persistence pay off.

Before arriving in Los Angeles, Brooke worked all over the country. Working as co-anchor of CBS 3’s Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon in Philadelphia before moving to Dallas to be part of the nationally syndicated entertainment news show Eye Opener. She has also worked in Tennesse and Texas.
